Bulemezi Youth Integrated Development Initiative was founded in 2012 whose principle objectives are to mobilize the youths to engage in social-economic development activities and provide interventions and education about positive utilization of the environment and ways of conserving it while sourcing locally available resources in their environment to start up development projects.

Our Vision

Improved quality of life for the youth through engaging them in profitable development activities.

Objectives

To identify marginalized youths to engage in mobilizing and sourcing locally available resources and start up development projects tailored to their needs such as brick making, carpentary and many others.

To run a volunteer programme for youths who have just completed higher institutions of learning education to be integrated into community development programmes.

To extend and integrate information communication Technology (ICT) approaches in village/rural development and awareness programmes.

To promote reproductive health and morals among the youth.

To provide counseling services to the youth especially the teenage mothers, those infected with HIV/AIDS and provide psychosocial support.

Carry out capacity building among the existing youth groups to support the development of the community.

To form strategic local, national and international networks with communities, businesses donors and government to foster sustainable environmentally friendly development.

For over a decade

RELIEF AND HUMANITARIAN AID

BYIDI focuses on humanitarian activities especially of displaced people from neighboring countries like DRC/Congo, Southern Sudan and Burundi to such people we mainly focus on food aid nutrition, conflict management, HIV/AIDS, Water and sanitation aimed at increased availability of clean water, improved sanitation, hygiene and health in the camps.

The health service provision and extension are done by bringing of health services closer to the communities through periodical health camps which we value in improving household living conditions, peace and incomes which supplement government efforts in alleviating poverty in refugee communities.

Our humanitarian activities are strengthened with working partnership with other agencies like Operation Christmas Child who are representatives of Samaritan Purse International (USA).here we are to distribute gift boxes to children in Luweero diocese catchment area of three districts of Luweero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola with an estimated population of over 5 million people.

We have a working partnership with Empire Tools that have several branches and networks across the country who have a strong attachment in humanitarian cause that allocates a substantial amount of its profits towards humanitarian goals in Uganda .These have supported Byidi towards their humanitarian strives like they have done to other institutions in Uganda such as Uganda Red Cross Society through logistics support, Uganda Cancer Institute in creating cancer awareness campaigns.

We are grateful to Empire Tools in supporting Byidi efforts in the installation of clear water system and equipping of an institution in Nakaseke district.
